Well 30 days - that's how long it's been since I last smoked a cigarette, wow, I just keep the faith I can keep my quit.. I'll keep everyone updated. In other news.. I finally, finally finished our business taxes, and then promptly took our personal stuff and business K-1's over to our account, it is now in her hands to do what she can to reduce the amount of taxes I think we will owe. Please let her find every single deduction possible!
Well we are going on two weeks with my husband being out of town, so far, ok.. I had a few bumps in the road, and I'm now getting alittle bored with doing everything myself.. nothing like having a stay at home dad to spoil me..lol. But things are ok, my oldest son is now sick, he was home yesterday and today, and will be back in school tomorrow. I think we are still working to find our groove..but getting there.
This week I have worked out 3 times so far.. better than lasts week, eating alittle better but with taking Chantix to quit smoking, and all the side effects I'm having from both, I fear it will be some time before I can shed this excess weight. That is depressing me. I am really working to just having a better attitude and doing what I can. I'm far from perfect, but if I can get out of my chair and slump and workout each day, that has to count for something, right?
This weekend I have plans to get with both my boys and deep clean each of their rooms, with there help, it really needs it and it will keep my body and mind busy. So not to much on the agenda for the next few days.
It seems the Jan - March time frame is pretty boring each year, no trips or family plans, and its usually cold and to me alittle depressing when the sun isn't out, so I'm going to work through it, work out, and April 1 my hubby will be back and we will plan for my son's 17th BD!

Mid Week Update
Well I'm on day 3 of my husband being gone, so far so good. I'm alittle out of sorts and now I've caught my son's cold so they may be contributing to it but over all ok. The kids helped make dinner last night and they will be going shopping with me tonight, I think this will be a good time for them to step up alittle and become more responsible.
In other news - I am now on day 22 of no smoking. Still taking Chantix and just ordered my next 4 week supply. It's expensive, actually more per month then what it was costing me to smoke! But I know this is short term and once I'm through with the 3 - 6 months I won't be spending anything and this will pay for itself in terms of my health. I honestly don't know how people quit smoking cold turkey. Maybe some of us have that more addicted "gene" or something because even with Chantix (which is making this quit a million times easier than when I tried cold turkey) I still find myself longing for a smoke. And edgy and sometimes just restless and some days just thinking of smoking most of the day! But this is the longest I have been ever without smoking and I would like this quit to stick! So I'm faithfully taking Chantix each day and will continue to struggle through this.
As to our finances well not much to report yet, my goal is to get our business taxes done this week or next, I've been putting it off but it needs to be done, I can't complete our personal taxes without it, and I would really don't like the stress of not knowing how much we owe over with. For me it's much better to just face it and see how much we need to pay the IRS. So this needs to become priority #1!
After that I need a new updated plan for the rest of the year. With all this doom and gloom news I want some $ in savings and some saved up so we can see my sister in laws wedding this year back east. I want to enjoy life not let the news get me down. Cleaning up the rest of our mess will ease my mind, but this still takes time and I'm not prepared to stop everything to get completely out of debt this minute. But I will make a revised plan, start stockpiling cash and continue to shop frugually, and watch our spending.

Monday again - already!

Wow, didn't realize how quick the week went by, seems like my posting is coming down to Mondays only! I need to try and update here more. Well since last week, my youngest was sick, stayed home for two day, then started feeling better so we did manage to go tubing on Saturday, we had a blast, only spent an hour tubing but for our first time even with the lifts to lift you up, with was still a ton of walking, and uphill and dragging our tubes, but sooo fun!! Then Sunday my husband packed and relaxed a little for today. We woke up about 5:30 AM and left our house about 6 to take him to the airport. I seem to be a little bit out of sorts, as it feels like he is just gone for the day but the realization that he will be gone for 6 weeks is kind of lurking in my mind. I do think this time will be good for both of us, we have been together almost 24/7 the last 3 - 4 years. So this break will be nice for both of us have to make do by ourselves. I'm sure we will appreciate each other much more when he gets back.. I already know I will because of course I have to cook now! Something I really don't enjoy. Well I'm sure as the days go on it will really start to sink in!

Changes
It is confirmed! DH is off to California next Monday! He will be out there for 6 weeks, I hope he likes it and it all works out. This means a few changes here at home, for one I need to come up with some dinner ideas, I'll also be taking care of the entire household which normally DH does. He usually does all the cooking, taking care of the cats, (food, litter, cleanup etc) as well as keep the house picked up. So this will be very interesting. I think everything will be fine, probably not up to his "standards" lol but hey a gal can only do so much! So this week involves making sure he has decent work pants, and all the items he might need so he doesn't have to purchase them. We will also be taking the boys tubing on Friday since they are off from school and that will be our last weekend for awhile. This will be a good break for both of us, something new for him to do, and for me maybe I'll get out of this funk since I will have to handle everything.
As for my two main goals this year - quit smoking and lose weight - I'm on day 13 of no smoking, and I'm not losing anything, actually think I've gain even MORE weight, yuck! But still not smoking, maybe having this change up will make me push forward and get moving!
Ahhh, but one day at a time..
